Introducing Gypsy Wins Farm Bella Blue!
Rock Ranch Lasair (out of Rock Ranch's Nelson and Laragh) was bred to Rock Ranch's Tom Boy in early July 2011. It is our absolute pleasure to announce that Lasair foaled on June 4th at 8:04 AM, bringing into the world a most exquisite Blagdon filly, named "Bella Blue"! Below are photos of a pregnant Lasair, and of Tom Boy, followed by photos of Gypsy Wins Farm Bella Blue, with and without her outstanding mother, Lasair. We will continue to post photos of Bella Blue as she grows, and changes color with time. We could not be more pleased with our new arrival!
Below are photos of Gypsy Wins Farm Bella Blue, with and without her outstanding mother, Lasair. The initial photos of this gorgeous Blagdon Gypsy Vanner and Lasair were taken by Jen (Kinipela) Theyskens, Hadley Ball, Bill Theyskens, and Donna Messina. Thanks to all for providing us the opportunity to use their photographs.
Rock Ranch Ice Chip (out of Rock Ranch The Iceman and RR Imani). Note that RR Imani's sire is the legendary Bob the Blagdon, so he is Ice Chips' grandsire!
We are confident that some amazing foals will be sired by this amazing young stallion, who has an amazing disposition, no doubt inherited from his spectacular sire, The Iceman!
Equine TLC's little slice of heaven, Gypsy Wins Farm, is located in Prunedale, California. It is a stone's throw away from the intersection of Highway 101 and State Route 156 West in Prunedale, California, - though you wouldn't know it! Coming down 101 from the north, you will likely recall the area as the place where folks exit to the west to go to Monterey, about 25 minutes away; or Castroville, about 8 minutes away, or the beach, about 12 minutes away (which is where we do a lot of riding).
Gypsy Wins Farm, about 3 acres in size, is one of the larger parcels on Berta Canyon Road. We have a variety of excellent horses available for riding. A couple are excellent for beginners, or those just getting their feet wet after a long interval of not riding. Jazzmine, our senior Thoroughbred, rides so smoothly we call her the cadillac ride. Bon Chance (aka Boo), an older Saddlebred, is a wonderful ride. RR Lasair, whose sire is Nelson, an outstanding Gypsy Vanner stallion, provides a very comfortable, relaxed ride.
Our first Gypsy Vanner stallion, Rock Ranch Ice Chip, was born in the spring of 2011. Ice Chip is an absolutely outstanding Gypsy Vanner specimen. He is doing very well with beginners to intermediate riders.
Rock Ranch Mamma Mia is ready to be gentled and made accustomed to bearing a rider. Jen has sat on her and we expect her to be available for riding in the near future. Bella Blue will be following in her hoofsteps shortly!
